Does adopt-a-block help pay for rent, utilities, or provide financial assistance?
Unfortunately, Adopt-A-Block is not set up to help pay for rent or utilities, or provide financial assistance at this time. We do our best to help with food insecurity, and provide you with the resources to help with other difficulties as best we can!
What help does adopt-a-block offer?
Adopt-A-Block offers an appointment-based food pantry, as well as emergency food boxes without an appointment (but there is a limited supply).
When are emergency food boxes available?
Mondays 9:00-11:00am
Wednesdays 1:00-3:00pm
**NOTE: EMERGENCY FOOD IS AVAILABLE WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT BUT IT IS WHILE SUPPLIES LAST—THERE IS A LIMITED SUPPLY**
Do I need to bring ID when I come to Adopt-A-Block to get food?
No, you do not need to bring an ID to receive food.
DO I need to bring anything?
No, unless you would like to bring reusable bags to put your groceries in.
How often can I come to adopt-A-block to get food?
You can come once a month and get food at A
How Do I sign up for an appointment to get food?
By going to our online portal or calling Adopt-A-Block directly
Can someone else shop in the market for me?
Yes
What counts as a household member?
Anyone who lives in the house full-time counts as a household member; this includes shared custody children and foster children!
Do you have pet food?
We have pet food sometimes—it depends on what supplies we receive that week. You can ask at your appointment!
Do you give out meat?
If you have an appointment, we do give out meat.
Can I get food for my neighbor/friend/family members?
Only if they call in advance and set it up prior to your appointment.
