FIND A HURT, HEAL IT.
WHO IS ADOPT-A-BLOCK?
Adopt-A-Block began as a compassionate outreach ministry of Emmanuel Wesleyan Church. Food insecurity proved to be a challenge for so many families in Salisbury, that it served as an entry point for serving our community. Starting with a handful of volunteers and a pickup truck, Adopt-A-Block set out to provide food to families at no cost or obligation. Over the years, the outreach mission grew and not only were families able to receive food, but they were also able to begin the process of having other needs met through prayer, generous donations, and referrals to other social and community agencies.
Adopt-A-Block’s primary means of outreach is through our food pantry located at 818 Benny Street, Salisbury MD 21804.
Families can schedule appointments through our client choice food pantry, receive food through our periodic open food market days, or receive emergency food boxes (limited supply). Adopt-A-Block does its best to work with our neighbors to improve their quality of life one food box at a time!
